60" TV Screen Protector: Crystal Wall Fits LCD, LED & Plasma TV's

Product Description

Crystal Wall provides the most elegant solution to protect your flat screen television. It is clearer, stronger and provides an incremental lower cost then any of our competitors.

We don't just protect your flat screen from Wii controllers and "Clickers". We will protect direct shots from Baseballs, flying shoes and even bowling balls !

? Clear & Strong: Crystal Wall is made out of 100% Lexan®. It is the strongest, clearest and most scratch resistant Polycarbonate material ever made. It is 300 times stronger then glass. All our competitors use Acrylic (Plexiglas) which is only 30 times strong then glass and much more brittle.

? Lowest Cost: Crystal Wall costs you 30-45% less then our competitors. How can we do this? Two Main reasons: 1) Our elegant design is extremely simple to manufacture, reducing our conversion cost by nearly 75% over our completions' designs. 2) Our high volume distribution allows us to flow our fixed operating costs over a broader distribution sub-set. The result is that we pass the savings onto you.

Crystal-Wall is made from Lexan® - a "bulletproof" plastic
Lexan® is a brand name for a polycarbonate sheet of plastic. This plastic sheeting is durable, heat resistant, and so impact resistant that "bulletproof" glass is made of Lexan®. It is 300 times stronger then glass. All our competitors use Acrylic (Plexiglas) which is only 30 times strong then glass and much more brittle and susceptible to scratches.

Lexan® offers brilliant optical clarity with a unique combination of properties, which makes it an excellent candidate for safety and security glazing to suit a wide range of applications

560ex700 - great picture and features, nice sharp x-gen panel
By T. Craw
I got my 60ex700 yesterday and I am really happy with it. It is a great TV. There was a little flashlighting and uniformity is not perfect but it seems you can tune it quite a bit. There are an amazing amount of settings and I have it set to be more than acceptable for me. Great price on a great TV. Contrast is great with deep blacks and white whites. The motionflow is great also.Furthermore, the sound is acceptable for normal viewing and much better than I expected due to all the people dissing it. I have a nice theater 5.1 setup but I don't want to use that for everything and the sony sound is just fine.Netflix and internet stuff is great, the remote is fine. This technology is getting so good we are really picking nits at this point. I just hope it is engineered to be reliable and long lasting because I intend on having this in my living room for the next 6-10 years.I am sure you can spend a lot more and buy a better TV with better picture quality but for this price... killer TV.The only downside is the TV is so damn thin and light that I feel nervous holding the bezel when I have to put in the inputs. It is solidly built but it just looks so fragile.

5Great TV and Picture with Some Rough Edges
By A Thoughtful Consumer
I've had this giant Sony for about a week and for the most part am quite pleased with it. The picture is super sharp with astonishing color. For a 60" screen, it's very light weight and really thin. The setup and picture preferences are really easy to use and to find. There's lots of hdmi connections on the back so you can get rid of all your composite and S cables, use hdmi cables and make all your components look the greatest they can be. I replaced a 60" DLP tv with this so for me there is a huge drop in temperature in my TV room..this LED runs with no heat-love it.There are some really neat features, 1 is a 'presence' monitor. If you don't come back soon enough to the TV, it knows it and will shut the picture off but leave the sound on. A nice feature with internet radio. I like the internet network possibilities. Pandora and Slacker and Utube are available to me from the TV and it's remote control-nice. BUT take notice, to make the internet happen on the Sony you need either to hook up an ethernet cable from the back of your router to the back of the TV OR you need to buy, extra, the Wireless LAN Adapter and already have a wireless access point as part of your computer system. The picture is wonderful and I'm keeping it but there are some rough edges that bother me.The onboard sound is adequate at best. There is just no room for decent speakers on such a skinny tv. Fortunately, to hook up a surround sound system to the TV is really easy. Sony also make 5.1 sound system that is wireless that is pretty good. While, I like the internet possibilities, and particularly, being able to access Netflex for direct movie downloads, I was disappointed with Netflex and Amazon VOD services. I have a medium speed DSL and you cannot cache a video download..you have to stream it. So my DSL couldn't keep up with the movie stream-constantly stopping and waiting for information to download. In the case of Netflex, they scan your system and check the speed and then only send the information that can be process by your system. That was a crappy picture. I can of course upgrade my DSL speed but for the addition $10-$15 a month, that sort of defeats the purpose of downloads. It's cheaper to stay with 'snail-mail' movies. Plus the downloaded sound was not surround sound and rather poor. Also I found the selection of available movies and programs to be a rather slim selection and that was disappointing. This is not a fault of the TV,connecting to the internet was very easy. But ,for me, the HD video services are not prime time yet. I found the radio services and Utube real nice to have and they sound great thru surround sound. The roughest edge for me is the narrow 'viewing angle of the screen. The viewing angle is like a wedge of fruit, coming out from the front of the TV. It can be really limiting and annoying on this set.Right in the middle of the screen-great picture..step to the side and the picture quality quickly disintegrates. My other TV is a plasma and I can virtually look at it from the edge of the screen and see a nice picture. On the Sony, if you are watching 8'-10'back, you have to watch the picture with the screen directly in front of you or else the picture color and detail will just fade out. Just like a screen on a laptop..if you tilt the lid up and down, the picture gets good then fades and then back to good. When your up close you have to be right in the sweet spot or the quality is not happening. In the store when I checked others, the further back you get, obviously the viewing angle gets wider and that color fade out for edge viewing is not so pronounced. But at my house we like the drive-in movie look so I'm maybe alittle more sensitive on this issue. To draw this up in a sentence, great picture..stay in the sweet spot..and enjoy.

5BIG-Time HDTV
By Felipe
Purchased this Sony HDTV almost a month ago to replace the 42" LCD in the Man Cave...so far, so good. I actually purchased the KDL60EX701 model...from what I can tell, there are no differences between this model and the KDL60EX700. So, here are my observations...Setup - Easy. I have a single HDMI cable coming from the A/V receiver that plugs into the back of the HDTV, so it doesn't get any simpler than that. When you turn on the HDTV for the first time, you will be prompted to enter some basic settings...it's pretty straightforward and only takes a few minutes to complete. The menu setup is easy to navigate through...those of you who have PS3s & PSPs will find it really easy, as the menu system is identical to the ones found on those devices.Performance - Excellent. Watching anything in HD on this TV is incredible. Everything comes at you in crisp and vivid detail. There are numerous settings you can go through to get the "perfect" picture...fortunately, I didn't have to change too many of the default settings to get the picture I wanted. I've watched Avatar a few times already and spotted something new I didn't notice from before! Sporting events show up great with very little or no blurring, which is always a good thing for a sports nut like me. SD broadcasts and DVDs aren't quite as crisp-looking as their HD and Blu-Ray counterparts, but that's to be expected of 480i/p. The only issue I have is that the colors tend to fade when viewing from a severe angle. However, the screen is so freakin' large...chances are you won't be watching TV from a severe angle on this thing.Sound - Good. HDTVs like this are meant for home theaters, not stand-alone setups! However, I did play a couple of MP3 files from a USB drive just to hear the audio quality from the built-in speakers, and it was decent.Extras - Excellent. The USB port is convenient for showing pictures and playing music from a flash drive. I have yet to use any of the Internet streaming features (Netflix, Amazon VOD,...) as I have been too lazy to connect it to my home network. It does come with a separate wireless adapter and a built-in LAN port for your convenience.Overall - Excellent. The picture quality is just as good if not better than most of the other HDTVs currently available. I considered getting the 240Hz version of this HDTV, but there is no discernible difference in picture quality when watching sports or action movies (at least not for me). Bottom line...if you're not in any hurry to get a 3-D HDTV, or if you aren't finicky enough to want a full back-lit LED LCD, then I recommend getting this HDTV.

2Odd ghosting problem
By F. Miller
I tested this TV at an in-store display to determine if it suffers a similar ghosting problem I have with another Sony TV - KDL-26L5000. Sadly it does. I tested with a few pre-recorded scenes known to illustrate the problem on the KDL-26L5000.The odd ghosting problem is not the typical motion blur noticeable on fast moving objects. This ghosting manifests as a streaking or shadow movement. Most often it seems to affect facial features such as lips and around the eyes which seem to float off people's faces as they move from side to side. The effect is dependent on the scene being viewed - lighting, motion etc - typically occurring in dark scenes or scenes with areas of highly contrasting light and dark areas.Happily the KDL-32EX400 does not suffer from this problem. If you consider yourself a critical TV viewer, consider spending a little more to avoid this sort of annoying problem. For casual viewing this is probably not an issue.

5Super sharp picture at a great price
By T. King
I have only had this TV for a week, but I have to say that I love it! The contrast is excellent, the sound is decent, and the price was right at $400. I purchased this model for a very small game room. The sharpness of the picture was my top priority because we are sitting so close to it. I am very happy with clarity that the BX300 provides.

2A TV that can't handle motion well...
By J.A. Stevens
This was a Tv that I was really hoping would be great, but sadly I was mistaken.Pros: Good cable TV quality, Sound isn't too bad, the design is really sleek and nice looking, still picture quality is good.BIG CON: Basically you can't watch anything too dark on HD programs or ghost trails will manifest behind moving objects. I had my 360 hooked up and character's heads would look like shooting stars when they would move across the in game environment. Like other reviewers have stated, actor's facial features appear to be floating on their faces. I was EXTEREMLY irritated by this.I have since returned the TV and have ordered a Panasonic L32X2, so hopefully that will answer to my TV needs! :D

4Good bang for the Buck!
By R. Kadash
I've had this TV about a month now and am generally pleased with its performance VS price. I purchased this TV to replace a 44" 720P Rear Projection that was in my living room. This TV easily out performs that old TV. This TV is really very good when viewing HD sources. I matched a Visio Blu Ray player to use with this TV and there is amazing clarity. But, there is a noticable drop off when viewing non-HD sources like standard TV channels. Seriously, I don't think there are many 1080p sets that offer great standard definition viewing performance. Also, please note that there is an illuminated VISIO faceplate on the face of the TV that stays lit all the time. Now, using the TV in my living room this is not a problem for me, but if I had the TV in my bedroom it would drive me insane as it would probably illuminate half the bedroom! So far the only way I know to turn that light off is to unplug the tv from the power source. Please note that the remote for the VISIO TV was smaller than the remote for the VISIO Blu Ray player-that just seemed a bit odd to me. I also have difficulty menu-editing as when you are done editing they tell you to hit a button with a symbol on it that does not appear on the remote! Note sound output is pretty good-better than my 40" Sony Bravia, but I also am using a 5.1 HDMI theater sound system with it so I can pump it up even to higher levels when needed. On one BD I even had to turn the sharpness down bacause the main actor had 5 o'clock shadow that was so clear it was making me dizzy.

4A Few Quirks, but the Quality Makes Up For It.
By Canis Majoris
So how about we get right down to it?There are a few things with this set that are a little annoying:- Sometimes, for no reason at all, the set will turn off and turn back on. The set will also turn off when going through the setup menu after pressing the 'Ok i.e. Select' button. The latter does not happen everytime, but it does it do it.- This kind of goes along with the above. Startup is kind of slow at about 10 seconds. Time between channel switching is about 3 seconds, which also feels a little slow.- The stand that came with this TV will not swivel to the right (when you are facing the TV), but will turn to the left.- Setup. Took about 30 minutes for this to fully search, and program all of the analog/digital channels in my area (about 120). This is not an issue if you have satellite or a cable box.- Sometimes when I am switching channels, the sound from the channel I eventually end up on distorts greatly and sometimes does not come on at all. To fix this, I have to switch channels and then back again.****As you can see there are a few problems with this TV, and although I still do not consider them a deal breaker --only if the price of the TV is such that it is much lower than its competitors, note what you might be getting should you purchase this set. However, because of the good price and relatively moderate annoyances of the above dislikes, this is still a great set to buy. Here are the upsides:- Picture quality. It looks fantastic on HD channels, and when watching sports. This is a 120Hz TV to help with watching sports and/or video games. On this particular TV the latter setting is called "Smooth Control". I left the smooth motion on high when watching basketball and football names, which greatly reduced blurring so that it was not really noticeable at all. Moreover, there are three different settings to adjust the smooth control : Low, Medium, and High. I did not notice any difference between them. Yes you can adjust this setting to stay completely off, leaving your movies in their normal framerate (24fps) instead of the "soap opera effect", which looks like 30fps. The setting is located under Menu----TV----More.- Sound. Speakers on these TVs will never compare to aftermarket speaker systems, but I must say that the wait until you do purchase that system will not be terrible one. The audio, especially in surround sound, does very well at filling a room with a robust volume and with a variety of different sounds/instruments.- Automatic picture adjust. Automatically adjusts levels of brightness/backlight to accommodate ambient light.Comparing to TVs of all brands, this one is a must buy in the area of LCDs of the same picture size if it is 100-200$ less than its competitors.

4Amazing HDTV, but with a few very minor glitches
By Denny S.
As of late 2010, I don't think there's a better 47" 120Hz HDTV anywhere for $679. (The comparable Samsung 46" model cost between $120 to $220 more, depending on whether you purchase the Samsung LN46C630 or the Samsung LN46C600.)About the picture: I have carefully compared the Vizio E470VA picture to the two Samsung models above and can attest that the picture of the Vizio is almost equal while watching HD programming. When the Vizio is hooked up to DISH Network, HD programming such as ESPN and other HD cable channels is absolutely stunning. However, on NON-HD channels and shows, the picture is hit-or-miss, based on the production value of the original program. Some NON-HD programs look clear, but others look grainy. Either way, that's not Vizio's problem as I see it.Next, the SmoothMotion feature looks amazing on sports and on some movies and shows, but on other programs it makes the picture have that "soap opera set" quality. So, you may want to use the SmoothMotion feature on some programs but then turn it off for others, based on your own taste. (It's easy to switch on and off using the remote.) Some people may desire to leave the feature turned off, which is fine too. I've read that LG and Samsung users often turn the comparable feature off. It's a matter of personal taste.About the sound: The SRS TrueSurround HD and SRS TruVolume features are great. Sometimes I felt like the surround sound was shaking the room it was so crisp and powerful. I was deeply impressed with the built-in speakers, and I see no reason to purchase an additional sound bar. However, with the special sound settings turned on, the volume can unpredictably rise sharply *depending on the recorded sound quality of the program being viewed.* So, much like the SmoothMotion feature mentioned earlier, you have to be prepared to turn the SRS TruVolume feature off if you get volume inconsistency while watching some shows or channels not created according to new HD standards. I keep the special sound features turned on most of the time, and I occasionally I have to turn off the SRS TruVolume when I get an inconsistent rise or fall in volume. I don't see this as a knock against Vizio, but perhaps the company can figure out how to control that better in the future.About a couple rare glitches: One glitch is that the remote "menu/ok" button (which you use often to adjust settings) will every now and again turn off the TV. I read that this has happened to another Vizio 47" user, so I think it's a manufacturing glitch. It has not happened to me often, but I did have it happen a couple times when I was using the remote a lot. Oh, well. No TV is perfect.Another glitch I saw once or twice had to do with the sound getting out of sync with the speaker's lips. I do not know if this happened because of DISH Network's pause feature, but it may have been caused by the feed/connection coming from DISH. It has not happened in DISH's live viewing mode, so I'm wondering if it is a DVR-pause issue from my Dish hookup. The issue tends to resolve itself within a minute, or I can change the channel and change it back and the issue is resolved. Finally, this E470VA is one of the attractive looking Vizio models. The casing design is sharp and sleek, unlike some of the "ugly" Vizio models, such as the similar E470VL.For $679, I just don't see a better 47" out there. The price/quality ratio can't be beat by Samsung or LG.

5Great TV
By Houston Customer
Found this TV at Circuit City for 799 (sale is now over). I have had the TV for a week. I also have a 50 Samsung Plasma, both on HD. The JVC has a better picture on both regular and HD channels. I like the Ipod feature. You need to play with the sound equalizer to get the best quality out of an Ipod without a sound system. Ipod video is fair.Pros: Picture quality - HD and SD, integration of Ipod, sound is above avg from built in speakers (after tweaking settings).Cons: Remote does not completely control DVR cable box, manual not clear on initial connection setting particularly for component cables on accessories (requires using the remote in a way that is not obvious).I would buy this TV again.

3Nice TV - Ipod functionality limited
By Michael E. Henderson
The TV is great...on its own. I am totally impressed with the TV. I have to confess the Ipod Teleport is not that great, at least to me. You can't toggle playlists and you can't listen to the Ipod in TV mode. To switch playlists you have to manually do that on the ipod. I think this is a seriously flaw. Who the heck wants to have to walk up and toggle to switch playlists. Also your play list will not show up on the screen so you have to push forward to get to other songs. As I write this, I am higly disappointed with the Ipod function. If you are buying for this reason, please don't. If you are buying this for the TV, then ok. But the Ipod dock SHOULD NOT be your determing factor.

By C. O'Donahue
Great Picture with 1080p & 1080i the 480 is just as good as the others, I also have a samsung 40" and a sharp 42" and for the price 1095.00 and free shipping its a better tv. I gave it a 4 star because I have not tried the ipod docking station.

5A sleeper to watch out for!!
By Christian Griffin
I have been researching TV's for quite awhile trying to determine the best one for me. I have watched the technology continually improve and am amazed by the progress. I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase a television and was certain I was going to purchase a DLP set. I made one of my many trips to the local electronics store to do more comparisons of certain models I had picked out and had not even considered an LCD TV, let alone an LG television. I was walking along the displays when my girlfrined actually pointed out the TV to me. I took a brief look and didn't see anything special and it was only upon closer inspection that I discovered what an awesome TV the LG 42LB5D is. First, I set all of the neighboring 42" Televisions to the same HDTV signal (which anyone can do- just select the input on the tv's until they all show the same signal). I was never a fan of LCD TV's due to the pixelation in fast scenes-usually sports. This TV did the best job of displaying fast-moving sequences with very little pixelation, even better than the nearby Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, and Sharp models. My curiosity was piqued. I don't know if it is because of the proprietary software they use to render the image or if it is because the LCD panel has a 5ms response time. In case you don't know, a 5ms response time for an LCD panel is very, very fast. Alot of the other manufacturers have an 8ms response time. The faster the response time of the panel, the better it is able to render fast changing images. Next, I switched the channels to a standard definition signal. Since most of what is on cable and satellite is broadcast in SDTV, it would be a good idea to pick a TV that does a good job of displaying that signal without making it look so bad. This television does an amazing job of displaying SDTV signals. Of course, it'll never be as good as a plain old CRT TV, but it does one heckuva job! Now I was getting really impressed. The colors were bright and looked as good as the brand new Samsung LNT-4265, though the Samsung had a little deeper blacks. I don't think the extra few hundred dollars I would have had to pay would be worth that. Especially considering the better pixelation performace I noticed on the LG. (Pixelation annoys the heck out of me, by the way.)I started checking out the specs. It has a clear QAM tuner that allows you to receive digital cable signals without the cable box. That usually means you can get all of the local network (ABC, CBS, NBC, CW, PBS) hi-def and secondary digital channels for free over your cable line (as long as you're not using a cable box connected to your TV). After I took it home, I found I had all of those channels. It has 3 HDMI inputs. It accepts 1080p via HDMI, Component, and VGA inputs. The VGA input was especially important to me because I have the XBOX 360 HD-DVD player and the only way to view movies in 1080p is via the VGA output from the 360. If not for that, I'd only be able to view my HDDVD's in 720p or 1080i.I am incredibly pleased with this purchase and I gotta thank my girlfriend for noticing it or it would have slipped right past me. I know to take a review from a website with a grain of salt because you never really know who is writing it. The only thing I can tell you is to find a store that has one on display and do exactly what I did. I guarantee you'll see what I'm talking about.

5This is a good TV. No, really!!
By RJ
Buying a new TV is akin to spending half your weekend buying a new car. Its exhausting. After a lot of studying of consumer Reports and visiting a half dozen retailers, and fighting off the geeko sales people who know little, we settled on the LG. I was nervous about buying a piece of equipment from a manufacturer I've only heard of but have never had the pleasure of letting them into my house. LG equipment tends to be a bit better in cost and I think I've figured out at least one reason why. It has nothing to do with quality or ease of use either. Your first clue is after you open the box up and see whats inside. Nothing except the set, some packing and the small accessories box which contains bare bones essentials, just what you need, not what you don't. The power cord for the set (gotta have that), the remote (more about that in a minute) and an operators manual. Thats it. Have a nice day. The manual is a shortened version of the big 100 plus page version that you can download off the LG website which is by the way, easy to navigate. I recommend you get that. Its got some info thats helpful, plus if HD is a bit too wild west for you, it helps you understand what all the buzz words are about. The manual that comes with the set tends to be a bit too brief in places. The power cord is somthing you may want to consider replacing at the outset. Yes, I'm sure it meets all the UL requirements and whatnot but I have a problem with electrical cords that shine like they came from a kids toy. It didnt seem to have that "heavy duty" look and feel to it. You'll need some cables too if you haven't got them already. Component Video types are the way to go and you may as well cough up some bucks and get the HDMI cable as well. About 75-90 bucks. Don't go cheap on this piece of wire. Its all digital and it needs to be quality. Digital signals have no tolerance for just an "ok" connection. 1080P is all but here and thats where that cable will be used. The monster brand is overpriced but they do build a damn good cable. LG Tech support. Great! I had some setup questions (mostly around the remote) that I needed to get answered so I gave them a call. A couple of prompts later and you get a real voice. Speaks English and lives in Alabama and not a foreign country where they change their names to sound hip and American... Very polite, professional, patient (thats a biggie with me) and didn't have to keep putting me on hold to go ask his supervisor a question about my question. I gave him the model number and bam-bam he knew everything about that set like he owned one himself.. Perfect. Thats the way to keep a customer. One of the reasons I wont buy a Toshiba anything ever again. They lost the help-the-customer-be-happy" formula a few years ago. Also a reason that Toshiba products are slowly disappearing from retailer shelves..but I digress.Ok so what about the "experience". Excellent picture. After you do a few tweaks from the on screen menu ( piece of cake) its ready to rock. First class picture quality all the way. AND, just like it looked in the showroom. If you're going to go with the on-board audio, its "ok". It won't blow your eardrums out but it's passable. LG is a company thats been slowly getting it right and I hope they dont mess it all up with deteriorating quality and bad customer service like some others TV manufacturers. I prefer doing business with tech companies that dont make me mad and slam the phone down. Service after the sale is what keeps me coming back to any manufacturer and if LG keeps it together and doesn't implode like some other brands have done that we all know about, then they're going to be around awhile.***UPDATE***I've had this unit a bit over a year now and everything is still A-OK.No problems. None. The picture is still as crisp as the day I brought it home and the settings stay put where there suppose to, and don't drift and need tweaking and retweaking like some other models do.I still reccomend this system as a superior TV for the medium to medium large living room. Tip: Like any electronics, keep it clean. Dust and home entertainment systems are best buddys. If you ask any service tech what causes failures and generates service calls, its more often than not dirt-caused.

5great picture on HD and SD channels, couldn't be happier
By pjf
I researched a lot of HDTVS and even took one back before I settled on the LG, and I've had it six months. The picture was fantastic, due to the 10,000 to 1 contrast ratio and the "engine" that converts even SD signals into near HD picture. I have Dish's HD package and the picture is great for both HD and SD, and I also use the OTA tuner and the picture from OTA HD signals is also fantastic - using an inexpensive radio shack OTA antenna. What sold me on this TV was the great picture, first and foremost, that it was 1080p, that it had 3 HDMI inputs and a PC connections. The TV is easy to configure, and the remote is great as well. I have no complaints at all. The sound is also pretty good -- I unhooked my home theater system to use the LG's speakers, which IMHO seemed better.
