By GGobblin
Bought this from Amazon about a month ago. Did A LOT of online and in store research looking for a 32"-40" LED TV.Looked at Vizio, Samsung, Sony, LG in addition to Panasonic. After a month - I'm very satisfied with my selection. If you have read the reviews on this model here on Amazon you will see overall very good comments.Have seen some silly complaints about short power cord, and have seen some about the wifi adapter(I'm using ethernet cable). And some average comments on the sound, but the major points of the TV are Great. There is one reviewer (C Reach) who claims to have gotten video settings online - THIS IS TOTAL BS. I HAVE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED - Does Not Exist.Below you will find a Pros and Cons list and my picture and sound settings. My settings were done using my eyes and ears no calibration equipment.Everyone's taste and environment are different, so these are what look good on mine. I will eventually test further with my calibration discs, but for those looking foe a good starting point from which to fine tune - this should help.PROS:Non Gloss screen reduces glareAmazing viewing anglesGood overall contrast and color qualityLow power consumptionSmart (Flat) input layout on backGood assortment of connections* (*Component video needs to use the included adapter - no biggie)Price / Performance Ratio is BEST in ClassDNLA and Internet FeaturesBuild QualityNo Spotlighting from corners like the Samsung sets (That was a dealbreaker for me)Easy SetupCONS:Sound could be better - Sure, but is equal to or better than most in this classCould have more extensive picture adjustment settings, but has enough to obtain a quality picture.Remote should be Illuminated and have a dedicated Sleep button. (Many people will use this for a bedroom TV)Some complained about power cord being short - But I had no problem with this at all. (It is detachable)OVERALL I Give it a 8.8 out of 10.MY SETTINGS:Were set by eye averaging several different chanels and subject matter in a room with no light other than the TV.You will probably want to fine tune based on taste and environment. Keep in mind this was done without calibration software, but I'm in the industry and have color experience. By FaceForRadio
This TV provides an excellent picture, with a very wide viewing angle (for an LCD). However...On page 63 of the manual, it says "The TV's internal software was designed to work with Panasonic's wireless adapter model DY-WL10." After trying three non-Panasonic wireless adapters just to see if they would work (they wouldn't), I purchased the Panasonic adapter, but, as the other reviewer discovered, the TV would not recognize the DY-WL10. Panasonic's Netconnect site covers only 2011 television models--nothing about 2012 models. When I called Panasonic Support today, I was told that, no, the DY-WL10 isn't compatible with any of the 2012 Panasonic models. The model that the support rep recommended is the DY-WL5, which isn't available yet; I can't find it on Amazon, or even on Panasonic's own site. B&H Photo lists it for pre-order with a March 31st availability date. So, at least until that date, this TV cannot use a wireless connection.Backup plan: I used a powerline ethernet adapter to connect the TV to my router. The TV recognized it easily, and it works fine in my house. But, as with all powerline products, your house's wiring must be pretty good for it to work well enough for video transfer.[Edit 03/08/2012] As a commenter pointed out, the appropriate wireless adapter for this TV (and I assume all 2012 Panasonic WiFi-ready models) is the DY-WL20, not the DY-WL5. Of course, I can't find that model for sale either as of this moment.

Really great tv. Perfect size for my office/studio. Picture quality is excellent. I calibrated the tv using settings I found with a quick google search. Sound is ok, but as with most flat screens it lacks a really impressive on board audio set up. Xbox 360 games look incredible. I've been playing Skyrim and Battlefield 3 and am blown away by the picture. I fired up amazon prime (through Viera Cast) and watched Troll Hunter in HD. Again, beautiful picture (and awesome low budget Norweigian movie). And now a more niche consideration. I am an illustrator by trade and use a Wacom tablet and photoshop in my day to day work. I purchased this tv with the intention of utilizing it as a third, large scale monitor for certain projects. A big reason I went for this particular tv is the LED screen. I find it is much easier on my eyes when I am painting on screen for hours on end.So there you have it. Beautiful image quality, a decent service lineup (Netflix, Prime, etc.), customization, great aesthetics, light weight, and it won't make your eyes bleed when you are painting an event poster at 2 in the morning. And yes, it says wi-fi ready but it needs an adapter. Otherwise it would say built in wi-fi. so the option is either buy a tv with built in (an extra $200-$2000) or buy an adapter ($60.. I agree it's a rip off. I ran a wire.). Same reason the E3 model had only 4 stars, from what I read in the reviews. So if you can get past that, this is a really excellent buy.

By mr engineer
It replaces a 2006, 50" Viera and seems to be the same quality product but a lighter and smaller set built around the same screen size. It was delivered to my living room and set up and checked. I was very happy with the delivery. The set has an improvement that lets you directly access internet movies from several vendors by using my wireless network in-house server. I am not much of a pay-per-view person but U-tube videos are free. The only drawback compared to my older set is the lack of a reflection free screen. The older model featured some type of coating that stopped the mirror effect of lighting on the screen. The new screen acts like a mirror and reflects lighting brightly. Not good. The preference and set up menus are more elaborate to walk through than the older system but offer more. Overall I feel the reliability will be good in this set as it has been in the past with no service needed for 6 years. I gave my old set to someone and it was working like the day it was delivered in 2006.

By S. Hill
When my friend asked me to come over to see his "amazing new tv" all I could think about is what will I say when I see no difference from my own. I couldn't have been more shocked when he turned it on. JVC has done an incredible job with this set. The picture clarity and color is so realistic it almost appears 3D; people seem to be standing in front of you rather than on a screen. It is challenging to describe so if you have the option to see this product live, you will understand immediately how radically different it is. Additionally, the sound system is superb for a 32" television. My friend disconnected his external surround-sound system so that I could hear the JVC audio bar and I think it sounded better. I am extremely impressed by this product and will likely replace my Sharp, which is only two years old, but the JVC quality really is that much better.

By John
I'm a little OCD when it comes to buying anything over $50, so I did a lot research before I bought my 32" JVC flat screen. It cost a little more than a lot of other TVs in that catagory, but it was well worth it. As I unpacked the set, I was impressed with how well protected it was in the box and the unit came out without a single blemish. After a few basic set-up instructions, I turned it on and followed the guide and was blow away with what I saw.Music and sound are as important to me as the picture. Because the TV is in the bedroom I didn't want to take up a lot of space with speakers but wanted decent sound. The reviews I read on Amazon were very good for sound and that was a big reason for my purhase. I was not disappointed.I am also a terrible "after shopper" to be sure I got the best deal and the best product. I was so satisfied with this JVC I'm not interested in looking at anything else. If you a looking for a good value for your money, this is an excellent unit.

By Christopher J. Scott
I just bought this T.V. based on reviews I read on the web that (1) the JVC BlackCrystal edition televisions offered superior video thanks to a partnership with AmTran Electronics, the Hong Kong based R&D/manufacturer of top notch display technology, and (2) the set offered superior audio quality. Here are my initial reactions after an hour of watching the actual T.V.First, setup is really easy, just like the other reviews say. Heck, JVC even ships a philips screwdriver with the set to facilitate the buyer's ability to screw four screws in. Four turns of the screws, align the pedestal, turn another screw and the JVC is ready to go.I connected the set to our cable box using component video cables. This is rather old technology, but it is the technology I had on hand. Once everything was plugged in, the set walked me through a setup program that was easy, until the tuner tried to scan channels. Now, maybe I am an idiot, but the scan found no channels because the cable channels are running through the component viewer. This was a minor annoyance, however, but one that should have been caught by the JVC engineers. Alas, it is just worth mentioning this fact so others do not waste 6 minutes with the tuner trying to find channels that aren't there.Once everything was up and running (about 20 minutes from opening the box to sitting on my couch watching the boob tube), I have to say, the picture on this set rocks! It really is wonderful. The sound system, well, that is another issue. But buyer, don't let my picky ears stop your purchase. Let me explain.I am a music nut. I also have really sharp hearing. So, when a company like JVC plays up the audio quality of a product, I have high expectations. These were not met, but the set does sound better than any other set in our house if just the native speakers are used. So, there is that!Honestly, if you are someone who believes a T.V. should do one thing well -- have top notch video quality -- then JVC BlackCrystal line seems like it is for you. After all, if you want internet connectivity, go buy a Roku for $79, plug it into the JVC, and you just saved about $200 bucks. The picture quality on this set is very good for an LCD screen (we have a plasma in our family room). The sound is better than average. Overall, for $329 I feel like we got a very good T.V. for our living room A.V. cabinet.

By JR
The previous reviewer got this tv from the same place I did. Sears had the best price for this size tv after I checked around. I was impressed with the service I got there as well. Panasonic is a quality name and is tops for trouble free manufacturers for tv's, and this one has a great picture for my needs. Since I got an HDTV cable box the image is crystal clear. I also think the sound quality is great. It's not a fancy tv with LED or 120MHz, or wifi capabilty, but those tv's cost a lot more. But for a non-LED this screen is thin. As for 60MHZ vs. 120, you may notice a difference, but I don't think it's worth paying extra to avoid the occasional jitter. If you want streaming you are better of with getting another device for this such as a PS3. Many reviewers with wifi capable tv's built in complain they don't work well or need adapters anyway. For my needs this tv is first class. I love Amazon, but they don't always have the best price.

Bought this TV 2 days ago for Euro 2012. Before I bought this TV, I can't find enough comments and reviews. But I was confident it's a good TV when I was comparing with another TVs (Samsung, Sony, LG) in the store. The color is so natural, screen isn't too bright which you could watch for a long time and won't feel tired. I also worried about the 60Hz, but I am so happy now after watching all kinds of sports including hockey, football, soccer without notice any motion blur. Sales person always tell you to go for 120Hz but not this one. Setting is easy, color is right on using the default setting. Volume is loud even in a living room - I use only one third of the max. As a picky web designer, I am suprise I can find a great LCD TV for this price! Trust me!

By Smart Shopper
This is my forth Panasonic HD (all are still in use) so I was not looking to spend alot of money. Got this from Sears today for $500. The picture is great for cable TV. You would not notice the 60MHz blurs unless someone told you to look for them. No problems at all with the viewing angle. It does not have internet access but if you have PS3 or a Roku, you're all set. I looked at several brands in the store and the pictures all look the same - the only difference between them is price and quality. If your budget is $500, this is the one to get!
